Starting from humble beginnings of one door-to-door fish truck 17 years ago, Cardinal Seafoods has now grown to over 50 employees and over 20 trucks. Cardinal Seafoods growth has followed the basic path of supplying the best available seafood, with an excellent delivery service and a wholesale price that equates with the quality of the product.

Cardinal Seafoods is privately owned, which gives the owners a “hands on” approach to the company and ensures excellence from boat to table. Cardinal Seafoods is one of only a very few seafood wholesalers that have built and operated their own boats, so customers may be confident the product is handled correctly, and looked after professionally by a Queensland owned and operated company.

The majority of fish is caught off the Queensland coast; however, with inclement weather at times product is sourced from New Zealand, Western Australia, and Northern Territory.

Atlantic Salmon and Ocean Trout arrive daily from Tasmania and lobsters from Western Australia are beginning to arrive.
